Board members Win Anderson and MargiePalazzolo started a new activity at St. Martin’s House in May. The team of Margie and Win, along with residents Wanda and Lorie in May and Cheryl and Krystal in June have hosted two dinners at the House. Staff from the House and the Barn, Board members, Sisters Patricia, Ronnie and Catherine, and all residents and children enjoyed a great pizza event one month and then a delicious fried chicken and salad feast the next month.
The dinners provide a break in the daily routine and allow everyone to socialize and get better acquainted. In addition to the good food, attendees have participated in a game or two, testing their knowledge of cultural trivia and powers of observation and creativity and enjoyed playing with the many children currently residing in the House. We look forward to at least two more of these events in July and August and hope to see more board members and friends out to enjoy the hospitality.
